About This Project

  • Holyreads offers a platform to read, listen, or watch video summaries of bestselling Christian books on various devices, both offline and online, anytime and anywhere.
  • Developed the project from the ground up.
  • Utilized the epub.js library for creating an E-Reader.
  • Incorporated a variety of features including Highlighting with different colors, Notes, Favorites, Bookmarking, Sharing, Different modes (Day Mode, Night Mode, Dark Mode), Text settings (font size, font family, line spacing, margin, etc.).
  • Implemented Audio and Video Players.
  • Added functionality for reading on Kindle devices.
  • Integrated Evernote for saving notes and highlights.
  • Incorporated Facebook login.
  • Developed an Admin Panel tailored for Holyreads' Administrator.
  • Implemented various Subscription methods for online payments.
  • Integrated Stripe Payment Gateway for online payment processing.
  • Employed a diverse Technology Stack: CakePHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Amazon AWS, HTML, CSS.
